Všichni účastníci Jamboree, až na hlavní organizátory v Jamboree Planing Team, spí ve stanech. Mladší účsatníci a jejich v malých kopulových stanech po dvou, většina IST pak ve větších vojenských stanech po čtyřech. To vše v 6 stanových městěčkách, tzv. subcampech. Subcampy pro mladší účastníky a jejich vedoucí jsou označeny A, B, C, D, F (celými jmény Alpha, Bravo, Charlie, Delta a Foxtrot), speciální subcamp pouze pro IST a CMT je pak označen jako E (Echo).
V Echu, kde jsem spolu s ostatními IST bydlel, jsme kromě stanů měli obrovskou jídelnu, party stan „Chat’n’Chew“ (v překladu „Pokecej si a žvýkej“), který obsahoval i obchod se Starbucks kavárnou nebo grilem, dále třeba naši vlastní stage (podium na večerní party), kino, finskou saunu, další kavárnu provozovanou skauty z LGBT komunity (kde byla káva levnější a lepší než vedle v Chat’n’chew), autobusový terminál a Trading Post, což je obchod především se skautským oblečením a outdoorovým vybavením. A hodně dobře se tam utrácí peníze, ehm…
Velká výhoda bydlení v Echu byla ta, že tam neměli přístup mladší účastníci, tudíž tam byl opravdu božský klid. Kromě večerů. Ale kdo chce mít na takovýhle akci klidnej večer, že jo…
Co dělat ve volnu?
Ačkoliv ho není moc, každý ISŤák má někdy volno. Zde je podrobný výpis toho, čím jsem trávil čas v době volna já:
- SPÁNEK! (Fakt ho nebyl dostatek, takže když to šlo, šel jsem to zalomit)
- Hledání volných zásuvek v Chat’n’Chew, dobíjení všeho možného a psaní tohoto blogu
- Tzv. tradování – bude samostatně popsáno
- Dva výlety do města – vždycky jsme se domluvili v partě, dojeli na Ruby Welcome Center, zavolali Uber a jeli jsme. Cíl: Walmart. Radost: velká. Bylo fajn nakoupit si věci v normálním balení a za normální peníze 😊
- Procházení subcampů. Například při kulturním dni (bude samostatně popsáno).
- Návštěva Foodhousů
- Vytváření pohledů vlčatům na tábor
